Becker's DREAM Team is working hard to empower students to be healthy and drug-free!

The DREAM Team has done an excellent job recruiting students to be a part of their group. They formed this group last year to empower their peers to be healthy and drug-free! They also want their peers to be role models and leaders for the entire study body, especially younger students.

They have held numerous chemically-free events at city parks and at the school and have also participated in community events like the Becker Youth Expo. Currently, they have well over 40 active members and expect this number to only increase!

Their most recent events included a Red Out Day in honor of Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is to commemorate a DEA agent that was killed in the line of duty and to also promote drug prevention education and advocacy. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.

They also held Halloween DREAM Bingo for students during the lunch hour. Students were able to win prizes while also learning some new drug facts!

Great job DREAM Teamers! Kudos should also be given to their Youth Leadership Advisor, Jan Lefebvre who has done an incredible job guiding members of this group as well as Heather Eigen for assisting with events and activities! Keep up the great work!
