Be Real is a student-led campaign that highlights the majority of students that do not use alcohol, tobacco or other drugs.
Many students perceive that more of their classmates are drinking, smoking, or vaping than what is actually occurring.
In a typical month, MOST Sherburne County high schoolers do not drink, smoke, vape, or use other drugs.
It might seem like everyone drinks, but most don’t. In fact, 90% of Sherburne High School Students do not drink alcohol in a typical month (MSS 2019 - 9th & 11th graders).
Students planning this campaign want their peers to know that although it might seem like everyone drinks or vapes, most students don’t. They asked their peers to “Be Real” and share their own personal reasons why they choose not to use. Reasons vary from sports, music, faith, health, family, friends, and education.
