Raise #RxAwareness

From 1999 to 2015, more than 183,000 people died in the United States from overdoses related to prescription opioids. Each of us has a part to play in helping prevent abuse, addiction, and overdose related to opioids. To help prevent misuse and overdose, CDC developed the Rx Awareness campaign with tools and resources to help increase knowledge among Americans about the risks of prescription opioids.

The CDC need everyone’s support to raise #RxAwareness and help those at risk of addiction and prescription opioid overdose. This campaign includes messages, testimonial videos, graphics, and links to assist everyone from individuals to community organizers. By participating in this Thunderclap campaign, you are helping to make prevention a priority.

How to show your support:

  1. Select Twitter, Facebook, or both.

  2. Authorize Thunderclap to use your account (This is needed so Thunderclap can count your followers, which helps increase the reach of the #RxAwareness message.)

  3. Get the word out to your friends and followers to do the same.

  4. Our message will collectively be shared on October 23, 2017. Let’s spread the word!
