Coalition Spotlight: Meet SUP Coalition Vice-Chair, Dan Bradley

Juvenile Probation Officer with Sherburne County Member since 2013

Q: In your opinion, what are you most proud of that the SUP Coalition has done or is working on?

D: I am most proud of our coalition members and the energy they have put into making our coalition what it is today. We have a wide range of professionals from many different organizations including parents and students who offer unique perspectives on prevention. I believe our coalition has made significant strides in our mission to improve substance use prevention within our communities thus far and look forward to what the future holds moving forward.

Q: What is one tip you have for parents/caring adults in terms of prevention?

D: Ask questions, do your research, and don’t be afraid to challenge your children if you suspect something. I personally believe the more knowledge you have on substance use prevention makes you a better resource and asset when it comes to actually dealing with it. Q: What do you do in your spare time? Provide a fun fact about yourself. D: I enjoy any form of fishing, preferably ice fishing. My family and friends call me “Diehard Dan” as not much can scare me off of the ice unless the ice is actually breaking apart. As crazy as it sounds, there are times I wish we had ice on the lakes year round so I could explore new bodies of water I’ve yet to try.
